Design, manufacture, and inspection follow Güleç Makina production standards. Hydraulic cylinder testing is based on ISO 10100. Stroke length is up to 5000 mm, and longer strokes can be supplied for special applications. Where the application requires it, custom builds can be made for a working pressure of 250 bar / 25 MPa.

Hydraulic fluid

Mineral-based hydraulic oils to DIN 51524 classes HL and HLP can be used.

When setting cylinder speed, stroke, load, bore, system flow, and the operating conditions of the sealing elements should be considered together.

Hydraulic oil cleanliness

The maximum accepted contamination level of the hydraulic fluid is ISO 4406 (c) class 20/18/15.

In dusty, dirty, and heavy-duty environments such as construction machinery, hydraulic oil filtration is important for cylinder life.

Proper filtration:

• Extends the life of the sealing elements.
• Reduces wear on the internal cylinder surfaces.
• Helps prevent internal leakage.
• Improves the reliability of the hydraulic system.

Application and installation conditions

• The cylinder, piston rods, and mounting points must be aligned correctly on the same axis of motion.
• Side load on the piston rods and telescopic stages should be avoided as far as possible.
• In dump and construction-machinery applications in particular, chassis deflection, mounting tolerances, and the way the load is transferred into the cylinder must be taken into account.
• In long-stroke applications, the self-weight of the telescopic stages and piston rods must be included in the calculations.
• A buckling check should be carried out for the piston rod and the telescopic stages.
• The maximum working pressure must not be exceeded in any operating position.
• In severe conditions such as dust, mud, stone particles, and high temperature, the piston rod and sealing system must be protected.

Materials

Cylinder tubes are made from St52 BK+S and the bore is precision-honed.

The honed surface is intended to provide low friction, improved sealing, a controlled oil film, and long seal life.

Piston rods are made from St52 BK+S.

Rod running surfaces receive a hard-chrome coating of at least 20 µm.

The standard rod tolerance is f7.

For severe environments and special construction-machinery applications, other coatings and material options can be considered.
